Research Description:
Research has focussed on the circulation and the variability of the Northwest Atlantic. Primary focus has been on ocean observations. Led the international ocean climate research programs in the 1990s (World Ocean Circulation Experiment (WOCE) and the Climate Variability and Predictability program (CLIVAR) and in retirement continues to participate in these activities as an advisor and reviewer.
