Section Yearly Data
Halifax LineRetrieval Area: 42.46ºN-63.52ºW - 44.48ºN-61.33ºW
The Ocean Tracking Network (OTN) regularly deploys gliders along the Halifax Line, running from Chebucto Head to approximately 250 km offshore. These autonomous instruments measure temperature, salinity, oxygen, irradiance by wavelength and flurometry. For more information and data products, please consult the OTN Ocean Gliders and Marine Observation website.

Data per occupation:
Please note that inventories of AZMP section occupations are currently done by an algorithm which does not always adequately represent the actual occupations that took place. To get an accurate listing of occupations and to access the data for any section or group of sections and year ranges, please fill this request form.
Only data with quality flag of 1 are reported and plotted on the graphs. To access data, please download data files in CSV format (right hand columns). When a variable is available from two different instrument types, the DOXY data from bottles and TEMP and PSAL data from CTD are shown on the graphs. XBT data are not reported but can be obtained through request.
- TEMP : Temperature
- PSAL : Practical Salinity
- DOXY : Dissolved Oxygen
- CPHL : Chlorophyll-a Content
- NTRZ : Nitrate + Nitrite Content
- PHOS : Phosphate Content
- FLU1 : Fluorescence
- SLCA : Silicate Content
